Slow Internet
This brief book – designed to be readable even for people who’ve had their attention span shattered by doomscrolling and hellsites – presents the concept of Slow Internet.
Although we share the contents of the book on this online platform, we very much encourage the purchase of the physical book for its aesthetic value. It feels different to read and look at pictures in the calm format a physical book offers – gravitas is added, and the pace of reading and reflecting changes. Moreover, the physical object is a signalling device – countless are the books sold each year that serve as mere decorations on coffee tables and in bookshelves – and, most importantly, a conversation starter. Read it on the metro, place it in the lunch room, and you’ve literally and figuratively placed Slow Internet as an idea on the table.
If you want to place large orders (50+ copies) – be it to give to your design students, employees or friends – you can email us for a discount. Otherwise, the price varies from bookstore to bookstore. Our preferred one is Bookshop.org, a certified B Corp where buying books circumvents monoliths such as Amazon and also helps raise money for independent bookstores:
But if you do prefer the Amazon experience, you are very welcome to help us with positive reviews and ratings, which nudges the algorithm to whose beat we’re all incentivised to dance until a slow momentum allows for an exit from that particular paradigm:
